Partisan balberdash

"One of the problems we've had is one side of Capitol Hill (i.e. the Republicans) is invested in failure, and that makes, I think, the kind of iterative process of fixing glitches as they come up and fine-tuning the law more challenging." President Obama, November 20, 2013

What kind of idiots does the president think he's talking to in this absurd, patently political assertion. This is excuse-making to the point of being utterly ridiculous.

the ill informed? the same people all politicians talk to.

The fact that others act in less than honorable ways is no defense for what Obama does. As a matter of fact, give me a few examples of any other sitting president deliberately speaking to the ill-informed in a deceitful manner as a strategy for garnering political support.

And what exactly was it they said that was a deliberate deception intended to deceive ill-informed people? And don't bother saying WMDs because everyone thought WMDs were there at the beginning. Also, who else besides these two, since your defense of Obama was that they all do it?

Sorry Dave, but I am not defending Obama. He's a politician, just like Boehner, McConnell, Cruz, and rest of them. They all talk out their rear ends. Your question was basically what idiots he was talking to and I answered that question.

Maybe a lot of politicians speak deliberately to the ill-informed, but there are also a lot of informed people out there too who don't think much of such deceptive talk. Also, it is one thing for a "common politician" who's looking for votes to stray from the truth, but this was the POTUS. He is supposed to be speaking to the whole nation, not just the ill-informed. I can't think of one example of a president in the past 60 years telling a string of outright lies such as the current president has done. The only clear example of an out and out lie I can think of is, "I didn't have a sexual relationship with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky."
