ISIS in the cross-hairs of who?

Brutal: Footage titled 'Healing the Believers Chests' appears to show captured airman Moaz al-Kassasbeh wearing an orange jumpsuit as a trail of petrol leading up to the cage is set alight

Commenting on ISIS after the burning alive of a Jordanian air force pilot, Obama said, “Whatever ideology they’re operating off of…it’s bankrupt.” Is our president really the only person on earth who doesn't know what their ideology is?

You know full well his axis of evil was not talking about terrorists like we are today. He was speaking of 3 regimes that keep their people down and he believed was trying to get nukes. So you're being disingenuous propping Bush up like that.

This was Bush in the 2000's on Islam.

"Some of the comments that have been uttered about Islam do not reflect the sentiments of my government or the sentiments of most Americans. Islam, as practiced by the vast majority of people, is a peaceful religion, a religion that respects others. Ours is a country based upon tolerance and we welcome people of all faiths in America."

"We see in Islam a religion that traces its origins back to God's call on Abraham. We share your belief in God's justice, and your insistence on man's moral responsibility. We thank the many Muslim nations who stand with us against terror. Nations that are often victims of terror, themselves."

"Islam is a vibrant faith. Millions of our fellow citizens are Muslim. We respect the faith. We honor its traditions. Our enemy does not. Our enemy doesn't follow the great traditions of Islam. They've hijacked a great religion."

AS for the king. I can only hope others in that part of the world join him.

Tom, I'm not suggesting Bush's axis of evil was about terrorism. As you say, it was about oppression, but it was also about the exporting of oppression and threats against America. My point was that we had a president then who called our enemies what they were: evil. We don;t seem to have that today.

As for Bush's politically correct description of Islam, he was completely wrong. I have always objected to his characterization of Islam as one of the three great monotheistic religions and a religion of peace. The truth is, Muhammad was a militia leader as well as a prophet. When he thought the Jews had betrayed him, he had 600 of them murdered. ISIS is the modern incarnation of true Islam. They have not "hijacked a great religion." That is utter nonsense!

Having said that, I'm certain that Bush was concerned about the Iranian support of terror worldwide. I'm also sure he knew that Saddam was paying off the families of dead Palestinian suicide bombers in Israel for the purpose of encouraging more to sign up. He was also providing a safe haven for Al Qaeda.

Listen to the video clip I just posted. Bush publicly described in 2006 exactly what ISIS is doing today. He shine the light on their plans, but Obama paid no attention and handed them the first part of their plan on a silver platter. Listen for yourself.
