"It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds." Samuel Adams

"We have to accept the religion of the secularist?"

asked the great Mark Levin, incredulously, last night, referring to "conservatives" who contend we need to "accept" the "fraud" of global warming. He also said, quite accurately, that "Marxism is mass suicide." And that's just what we're preparing to do in this country, economically, militarily, and every which-way. Mark's response to all this? The only correct one: defiance.

I feel as though we're living in the Weimar Republic in the early 1930s. Everything is "so bad" that people are selling off their values left and right in exchange for a feeling of security and a little bread. How did we devolve so quickly into this crisis mode? The powers-that-be are seizing the moment to take over nearly every area of American life. As Ben Franklin famously said, "Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."

Well said, Dave.

How did we get here so fast? I believe that thanks to the infiltration by the left into all of our institutions, and the left's assiduous undermining of those institutions, it required only a transitory crisis to allow the left to kick out the rotted beams that had been supporting our traditional society. Schools, television, colleges, movies, abandonment of religion--it has all been happening before our eyes for the past several decades, with the explicit or tacit approval of the masses. By consuming and accepting the trash product now being peddled by the leftist arbiters of societal norms, each individual is responsible for contributing to the degradation of our society. I could've been Obama, Kerry, Dukakis--it doesn't matter--to kick in the supports.
