Perhaps the sentiments contained in the following pages, are not YET sufficiently fashionable to procure them general favour; a long habit of not thinking a thing WRONG, gives it a superficial appearance of being RIGHT, and raises at first a formidable outcry in defense of custom. Sayonara, Steele
Steele must go. He is a disgrace. Either he's a traitor to the cause, or he's a complete idiot. Goes on a show with a leftist black host, and sells out Rush Limbaugh and conservatives, as well as the pathetic GOP. What a mistake. This fool must go. Forget the ditch; this guy's putting the party at the bottom of the ocean. Question is, do we fight to save the party, or abandon it.
Now that Rush has filleted Mr. Steele in front of the whole world and Mr. Steele has apologized, I say we give him another chance. Sure, he may not be perfect, but he brings a certain new look to the position and that could count for a lot down the road.
ReplyDeleteThat wasn't much of an apology. I understand your position, Dave; but we are in a dire crisis. The Republic's back is against the wall. Socialism has become "cool" and God only knows what's next. This incompetent clown acts like he's piloting the Titanic. He's not meeting the minimum requirements of the position. I say, "Lead, follow, or get out of the way."
ReplyDeleteI hear you!
ReplyDeleteI think Brian is on the right track here. The issue isn't the apology or lack thereof; it's a simple matter of competence, and the right "look" is terrific if - and only if - it's wrapped around a competent package. What we're seeing here is a man who is in way over his head, with little strategic insight, and rapidly vanishing credibility. Dumping him now - and taking the 'racist' hits from the drive-bys and Obama operatives that it will surely generate - is better than losing another round of elections in two years.
