They soak all of us so that they can live the good life, free of any pressure to produce or be efficient, with guaranteed raises and gold-plated benefits. No wonder there's a tea party.

Actually I don't think these grpahs really tell us all that much. The private sector graph includes all the fry guys at MacDonalds and I don't think the Government hires fry guys; they contract that out. I would be more interested in seeing the mean salary versus average. Everybody knows the gov. gives the best benefits. That's always been their recruitment tool. Brian, define "good life". I know plenty of government workers who would probably dispute they are living the "good life". Does anyone know what a government computer programmer makes versus one in private industry? That's how you should compare things.

Anyway, where have you guys been for the last 20 years. Every statisitc, chart, graph, etc. has shown private employer wages stagnate for years.Trickle down economics is a debatable subject.
