AOL Readers Don't Like Obama

A state-run AP poll makes a big deal of how, it claims, Obama's approval rating has risen from 50 to 56%. AP apparently wasn't checking with many AOL readers, however. Apparently, the leftist web site's readers can't stand Obama. On general approval, the economy, health care reform and Afghanistan, readers disapproved of Obama by 70 to 75%, with 25 to 30% approving. And the samples were pretty large, approximately 150,000. Apparently AOL's readers are not fooled by the web site's biased reporting.

While those kinds of polls aren't considered sceeintific, they sure do seem relevent in showing trends. And I would bet the poll is somewhat self-correcting . . . the true belivers and the true antagonists are both highly motivated to respond. My gut tells me these numbers are probably pretty close to accurate . . . they jibe with the known fact that about 30 percent of the population really is hard left - they're going to be with Obama forever, no matter what. The rest - the conservatives and the middle of the roaders? he's lost - or losing - them.

Well, at least it's representative of people who own computers and frequent one of the bigger (I think) Internet service providers.
